Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
For those who do not know who this is, you need to just google “Americanah.” When living in N.Y., I discovered that the NYPL offered kindle ebooks on loan. This was exciting as I was slowing getting back into reading while doing my Bachelor’s. I did a google search for popular books and I found “Americanah.” I started reading it because it had a catchy title.
After reading this book so much of the story resonated with me. At the time I was an international student and a victim to culture shock. It was good to know that I wasn’t the only one, then later on I met others who faced the same struggles. After that book I found the others and I read them. I’m proud to say I’ve read all and (im)patiently waiting for the next book.
